Updates & license

Two admin-only pages that answer "what version is this, and is it allowed to run": System update and License.

Warning

This page only looks at these two screens. It does not walk through checking for or installing an update, and does not activate a license — both are real changes to a running system, made deliberately, in a planned window.

System update

In the sidebar, go to System > Settings and select the System update quick-link button (or reach it directly under System, if your sidebar layout includes it). It shows the installed version, and — separately — every release's own notes.

System update: installed version and release notes.
Field / controlMeaning
Installed versionThe version currently running.
Check for updatesLooks at the update server for a newer version, without installing anything.
RollbackReturns to the previous version — the system keeps a copy of it (and a database backup, if the update touched the database) before switching over.
Reboot automatically after every updateMost updates need a full reboot for every service to run cleanly.
Release notesWhat changed in each version. The newest is expanded; older ones open on click.

License

In the sidebar, go to System > License. It shows the current license's status and limits, and — separately — where a new activation code is entered.

License: status and limits, and the activation code field (masked here).
FieldMeaning
License statusValid, expiring, or missing — checked against the license server.
Users / DevicesHow many of the license's seats are in use, against its limit.
Channels (concurrent calls)The maximum number of simultaneous calls the license allows.
Valid tillThe expiry date, with the number of days remaining.
Hardware fingerprintIdentifies this specific server to the license server; masked on this wiki.
Activate licenseWhere a new activation code is entered. The request is approved manually on the license server, and this page then checks automatically every 10 seconds.
Note

The activation code and the hardware fingerprint are both masked in the screenshot above — they identify one specific installation, the same way a license key normally would.

Check

Open System update and confirm the installed version shown matches what you expect; open License and confirm the status badge says Valid and the expiry date is not close.
