System users & permissions

Voiplix separates who your customers are (Users, under Customers) from who runs the system (System users, under System) — and lets an admin fine-tune what a reseller or accountant account is allowed to see.

The five account roles

Every login has one of five roles. The role decides which sidebar sections can appear at all; permission groups (below) then narrow that further.

RoleTypically used for
adminFull access to every page in this section.
accountantBilling and operational access, without the system-level pages an admin has.
resellerManages its own set of customers, tariffs and providers.
partnerA narrower, mostly reporting-focused role.
userAn end customer — the portal, not the admin area covered here.

System users

In the sidebar, go to System > System users. These are technical accounts for your own staff and for customer support requests — deliberately separate from the Users list, which holds customers.

System users: accounts with individually selected permissions, for staff and customer requests.

Select New system user to see the form: a username, a display name, which real account it inherits its view from, an optional expiry date, and the checkboxes that decide which capability areas and which customers it can see.

The new-system-user form.
FieldMeaning
Username / NameIts own login and a human-readable label.
PasswordAt least 8 characters, or use Generate for a random one — noted down once, not shown again.
Valid untilEmpty means no expiry. After this date the account can no longer sign in.
Inherits the view ofWhich account's data scope this access starts from — the operator for your own staff, or the customer for an access created on their request.
May change their own passwordWhether this system user is allowed to set its own new password later.
AreasOne card per capability area (acc_groups, action_log, active_calls, …), each with its own verbs to tick — Select all, Read-only or Clear shortcuts above the grid. Anything left unticked stays closed for this account.
Tip

Use a System user instead of sharing your own admin login — for a support case, give it an expiry date and only the capability areas it actually needs.

Permission groups (reseller & accountant)

Under Reseller, the Permissions item opens the reseller permission groups, and Accountant Permissions opens the accountant ones. An admin (and, for reseller groups, an accountant) can define named permission groups that grant no access / read / write per area, then assign a reseller or accountant account to one:

Reseller permission groups — fine-grained no-access/read/write rights per group.
Accountant permission groups — admin only.
FieldMeaning
Name / DescriptionHow the group identifies itself in the list.
Only viewWhen set, every area in this group is read-only, regardless of its individual right.

Check

Open System users and confirm the list loads; open Reseller > Permissions and confirm you can see the permission-group list for your role.
