Services & subscriptions
A "service" is a fee that isn't a phone call — a monthly line rental, a one-time setup charge, or a flat-rate calling bundle. A "subscription" is that service assigned to one user.
Services: the price lists
Go to Customers > Services and select New service. A service has a Type that decides how it behaves:
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
Periodic fee | Charged repeatedly, per Month or per day (the Period field). |
One-time fee | Charged once. |
Flat rate | A bundle of included minutes; adds a Quantity (minutes) and Round to (s) field. |
Dynamic flat rate | Same idea as flat rate, sized dynamically. |
What each field means
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
Name | Shown to staff (and, via a subscription, tied to a user). |
Price | What the user is charged. |
Self-cost | What it costs the operator — for margin reporting, not billed to the user. |
Connection fee | A one-off amount added on top, if any. |
Destination group (flat rate) | For flat-rate types: which destinations the bundled minutes cover. |
Once created, a service appears in the list with its type, price, self-cost and memo:
Click a service's row to reopen the same form for editing — its ID is shown next to the name, and every field is the same one used to create it:
Subscriptions: assigning a service to a user
Go to Customers > Subscriptions and select New subscription. Pick the User and the Service, an Activation start, and either an Activation end or leave Until revoked (no end date) checked so it keeps recurring until someone stops it.
What each field means
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
Activation start / Activation end | The window this subscription is active in. |
Until revoked (no end date) | Checked: no end date — it keeps charging until disabled or deleted. |
Discount (%) | A percentage taken off the service's price for this one subscription. |
Do not expire at the end of the month | Changes whether a periodic fee's activation window snaps to month-end. |
The subscriptions list shows every assignment with its user, service, start/end, and status — here "active", with an infinity mark for the open-ended end date:
Opening a row from the list reopens the same fields for editing — the user and service themselves are fixed (shown as plain text under the heading), but the dates, discount and memo can all be changed:
Check
A working subscription shows active in the list; from here it can be Disabled without deleting it, if it should stop recurring without losing its history.
