Phonebook

A simple, shared address book — a name, a number and an optional short speed-dial code — reached from PBX > Phonebook.

Voiplix calls it "Known CallerIDs with name and speed dial." An entry is nothing more than that: a memorable name for a number, so it shows up recognisably in call lists and lets a phone dial it by a short code instead of the full number.

Create an entry

Fill in the New entry form on the right and click Create.

The New entry form — Name, Number and an optional speed-dial code.

What each field means

FieldMeaning
NameThe label shown for this number wherever the phonebook is consulted.
NumberThe number itself — digits only.
Speed dial (short number)An optional short code (at least 2 digits) a phone can dial instead of the full number.

The list

Every entry appears in the table on the left, with its Name, Number and Speed dial.

"Demo Contact" in the list, tagged global.
Note

An entry created here by staff is a global one — visible to everyone. An end customer can also add entries of their own from their portal menu; those stay private to that customer and are not tagged "global".

Check

Open PBX > Phonebook and confirm the new entry's Name, Number and Speed dial match what you typed, and that a staff-created entry is tagged global.
