Quickforward rules
Restrict which DIDs users may use for quickforwards — a rule is a name plus a regular-expression pattern that decides which DID numbers a customer is even allowed to save a Quickforward number against. Reached from PBX > Quickforward rules.
This page is the gate: a DID's Quickforward number is only ever effective if some rule here, assigned to that DID's user, matches the DID. The other two pieces — creating the quickforward dial plan and assigning it to a DID, and the Quickforwards per DID read-only overview — are the DID-facing side, and are covered in Quickforward DIDs in DIDs & Inbound. This page does not repeat that walkthrough.
Rules
Fill in a Name and a Regexp on the right and click Create.
What each field means
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
Name | How this rule is labelled in the list and when assigning it to a user. |
Regexp | A pattern the DID number must match. Allowed characters: digits, [ ] % | ,. |
user (list column) | How many users this rule is currently assigned to — click the number to see who, on that rule's own detail page. |
Click the number in the user column to open a rule's detail page and see exactly who it is assigned to:
democompany.Three related links sit top-right of the main Quickforward rules page: My quickforwards (your own saved forwarding numbers), Quickforward dial plans (the DID-side setup, covered in DIDs & Inbound), and Settings (admin-only, the system-wide diversion/retry behaviour).
A rule with users still assigned to it cannot be deleted — the product refuses with a message rather than silently orphaning those assignments. Unassign the users first.
Check
Open PBX > Quickforward rules and confirm the new rule's Regexp matches the DID numbers you expect, and that the user count reflects who it is assigned to. For the end-to-end effect on a real DID, see the Check at the bottom of Inbound routing and callflows.
