SMS

Send text messages and see the ones you've sent — only shown at all if your account has SMS switched on.

Note

SMS isn't part of every account. If your sidebar has no SMS group at all, it simply isn't enabled for you — ask your provider if you need it.

My SMS

Select SMS under the SMS group. Every message you've sent is listed, newest first, with the totals at the top right.

Column	Meaning
`Date`	When the message was sent.
`Number`	The destination number.
`Prefix`	The dialling prefix that matched.
`Status`	How it went — e.g. sent or failed. Hover a status for more detail.
`Price`	What that message cost.
`SMS total` / `Sum`	How many message-parts and how much they add up to, across the whole list.

Sending an SMS

Select Send SMS. Enter a destination Number, optionally select Check tariff to see the price per message before you send, then write your Message and select Send.

Tip

The line under the message box counts characters and SMS parts as you type — 160 characters is one part; going over starts a second, which is billed separately.

SMS tariffs

Select SMS tariffs to see the price per message by destination, browsable by the destination's first letter.

Check

Before sending, Check tariff should show a real destination and price for the number you typed — if it doesn't, that number isn't covered by your SMS tariff and sending would fail or come back as an error status in My SMS.
