4. Routing (LCR)
How to set up least-cost routing so Voiplix knows which provider actually carries a call.
LCR (least-cost routing) is the rule that decides which provider actually carries a call. This step creates an LCR and puts the provider from step 2 in it.
Open LCR / routing
In the sidebar, go to Routing > LCR / routing, then open or create an LCR entry. Give it a name and an order (for example, Price (cheapest first)).
Add the provider
Under Add provider, choose the provider you created in step 2 and select Add. It appears in the provider list with a priority number and an active status.
What each field means
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
Order | The strategy Voiplix uses to pick between several providers in this LCR — see LCR & routing rules for the four options. |
# (priority) | The position a provider is tried in, when more than one is in the list. |
Failover provider | A single backup provider from this same LCR, tried once more if every provider above it fails a call. |
The LCR decides which provider is used — a call from a user without a working LCR has no route out, whatever tariff is assigned. In step 5 you will assign this LCR to your user.
Check
The provider from step 2 shows in this LCR's provider list with status active.
