5. Create a user (customer)
How to create the customer account: assign the sell tariff and the routing from the previous steps, and give it a starting balance.
A user is a customer account — the thing calls, devices and invoices belong to. This step creates one and connects it to the tariff and LCR from the earlier steps.
Open Users
In the sidebar, go to Customers > Users, then select Create user.
What each field means
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
Username / Password | This customer's login for the portal. |
Tariff | The sell tariff (step 3) that prices this user's calls. |
LCR | The routing rule (step 4) used for this user's outbound calls. |
Postpaid (otherwise prepaid) | Left unchecked, the user is prepaid and needs balance to call out. |
Balance | The user's starting account balance. |
A prepaid user with no balance cannot make outbound calls. If step 8's test call fails immediately, check this user's balance first.
The user's detail page
After creating the user, its detail page shows the current balance at the top, and the same Tariff/LCR fields you can change later.
Check
Open the user and confirm Tariff and LCR both show the ones from steps 3 and 4, and — for a prepaid user — that Balance is above zero.
