Balance top-ups and payments
Voiplix has two different ways to put money on a user's account, and they are not the same thing: a quick balance adjustment, and a proper recorded payment.
Use Book balance for quick corrections. Use Add manual payment when the top-up should show up under Payments — for example, money the customer actually paid you.
Quick balance adjustment ("Book balance")
Open the user's detail page — the Balance card sits right under the tabs, showing the current balance and an amount field. Type a number (positive to add, negative to subtract, for example -10) and click Book balance.
This adjusts the balance directly and logs an internal audit entry — it does not create a row under Payments. It's meant for corrections, not for recording what a customer paid.
Recording a real payment ("Add manual payment")
For a payment that should actually appear in the Payments list — and be reflected on a statement — use Add manual payment instead: either the wallet icon in a user row's Quick actions, or Payments > Manual payment with the user picked from the search field. It's a two-step review flow.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
User | Type to search, or arrive pre-filled from the row icon. |
Amount (without tax) / OR amount with tax | Fill in only one of the two — the tax is added or deducted automatically. |
Payment date | Defaults to now; can be backdated. |
Private comment | Internal only. |
Comment for the user | Visible to the customer. |
Click Next (Check) to see a review with a balance preview before anything is booked:
Click Confirm to post it. The payment now shows under Customers > Payments, and the user's balance reflects the new total.
The Payments list has its own User and Type filters — filter by username to see one customer's full payment history in one place.
Check
After confirming a manual payment, reopen the user's detail page: the Balance card should show the new total, matching "New balance after booking" from the review step.
