DID rates and number pools
Every DID carries its own small set of prices, separate from a customer's regular calling tariff — and, for outbound caller ID, DIDs sit next to a related but distinct feature: number pools.
DID rates
On a DID's detail page (admin/accountant view only — a reseller does not see this), scroll down to DID rates: three small rate tables, each a single row by default (Time: All · 00:00:00–23:59:59) with Rate, Fee (connection fee), Inc. (billing increment, in seconds) and Min. time (minimum billed time) — editable in place, with its own Save.
| Table (as shown) | What it prices |
|---|---|
Provider-Kosten | Provider cost: what your carrier charges for this DID's incoming traffic. |
Eingehend (User-Preis) | Incoming (user price): the price charged to the DID's owner for receiving a call on it. |
DID Owner Cost | A separate cost figure kept against the DID's owner. |
Each table has a SPLIT WD/FD button to split its single all-week row into separate workday/weekend rows (and, once split, COMB WD / COMB FD to merge back down, keeping one side's numbers). A table with no row at all reads "No rate row."
Tariff assignment
Below the rate tables, Owner tariff and Provider tariff let you point this DID's calls at a full calling tariff (the same kind of tariff used for a customer's outbound rates) instead of, or alongside, the flat rates above, each with its own "Reject the call on failure" checkbox for what happens if that tariff has no matching rate.
Number pools
A number pool is a set of phone numbers a device rotates through for outbound caller ID — a different feature from the DID list, managed under Routing > Number Pools, but the two connect in two places:
- A DID's Blacklist source number pool field (in its Settings, under the advanced section) can reject calls whose source number is in that pool.
- Set as CID on a DID (see Assigning a DID) removes the assigned device from every number pool it was in — a DID and a rotating pool cannot both control the same device's outbound caller ID at once.
Each pool row shows its size (Numbers), how many are currently Usable, how many are in Cooldown or Blocked, and a Fill level percentage — worth checking before relying on a pool, since a pool that has run low on usable numbers will not rotate the way you expect.
Check
Open a DID with rates set and confirm the three tables show the rows you expect; open Routing > Number Pools and confirm the pool you plan to use shows a healthy Fill level, not close to 0%.
