After an update

A short checklist for right after an update finishes, and what your Voiplix support may still need to do.

What the update already confirmed

An update does not report itself as finished until it has checked that the new version actually starts and responds. If that check fails, it puts the previous version back automatically — see Updating from the web interface for the full sequence. So by the time you see it as complete, the basics are already verified.

What to look at yourself

  • On System update, confirm Installed version shows the version you expected, and read its entry under Release notes for anything specific to that release.
  • If the update restarted the server, give it a minute or two to come back, then sign in as usual and confirm the dashboard loads normally.
  • If you like a second confirmation, System > Status shows every core service at a glance.
System status: a quick way to confirm every service is running after an update.

See Administration & API's Backups, health & integrity check for what each part of that page means.

A step your Voiplix support may still run

Note

Some releases need a short, one-time system step on the server itself, run once by an administrator with server access. Most updates handle this on their own; if not, your Voiplix support runs a short system step to finish it — you don't need to do anything unless they ask.

Check

You're done once Installed version matches the release you expected, the dashboard and calls work normally, and (if you looked) System > Status shows every service running.
