Activating the license
Voiplix needs a valid, activated license to place and receive calls. Here is how activation works — once during setup, and again any time it needs to be renewed or replaced.
The first activation: during setup
The setup wizard's first, required step is exactly this: enter the activation code you received with the system. See First start and setup for where this sits among the wizard's other steps.
Later: the License page
In the sidebar, go to System > License. It shows the current license's status and limits, and has its own box for entering a new or renewed activation code.
For what every field on this page means, see Administration & API's Updates & license.
What happens when you submit a code
- You enter the activation code and select Activate.
- The request goes to the Voiplix license server, where a person approves it manually — it is not instant.
- The page checks automatically every ten seconds and updates itself the moment it is approved, without needing a reload.
What the license limits mean
A license caps three things: how many users (customers), how many devices, and how many calls can run at the same time. Reaching one of these limits blocks the next one of that kind — for example, once the device limit is reached, creating one more device is refused until the license allows more devices or an existing one is removed. Calls beyond the concurrent-call limit are similarly refused, not queued.
If the license server can't be reached
A short outage of the license server does not interrupt service. The system keeps working from the last confirmed license until that license's own valid-until date — calls and logins continue as normal while it retries the check in the background.
With no valid license at all — expired, revoked, or none activated — new outgoing and incoming calls are blocked until a license is activated again. Existing settings, users and data are not affected.
Check
Open System > License and confirm the status badge says Valid, and that the expiry date is comfortably in the future.
