First start and setup
What happens the moment the installer finishes: a one-time setup wizard that asks for a handful of details and then locks itself.
The setup link
The installer's last message is a link of the form https://your-domain/setup?token=…. It is protected by a one-time token: it works until the wizard is completed, and does nothing once it is. Open it in a browser to begin.
Telephony (Asterisk), the database and every service are already set up and verified by the installer at this point — the wizard only needs the details below, nothing technical.
The wizard's steps
The wizard walks through four things, in order, and keeps a running summary of what's confirmed:
1. Operating license (required)
Enter the activation code you received with the system. Submitting it sends a request to the Voiplix license server, where it is approved manually — this page then checks automatically every ten seconds and moves on by itself as soon as it is confirmed. See Activating the license for what happens if you ever need to do this again later.
2. Administrator account
Choose the username and password for your own admin account. It replaces the installer's default account — from this point on, you sign in with the credentials you set here.
3. Company and billing details
Your company name, currency and similar basics, used on the interface and on invoices. None of it is final — everything here can be changed later under Settings.
4. Email delivery (SMTP), optional
Voiplix can send invoices, notifications and voicemail-to-email through your own mail server. This step can be skipped and set up later — see Administration & API's E-mail & SMTP page for the fields when you're ready.
Finishing
A summary lists what's confirmed so far — Administrator, Operating license, Company, Email delivery — each with a checkmark, or flagged if a required one is still missing. Selecting Finish setup locks the wizard permanently: it cannot be reopened, and from then on the address takes you to the ordinary login screen.
For what you see immediately after signing in — the dashboard — see Quick Start's 1. First login.
Check
Setup is complete when opening your domain lands on the normal login screen (not /setup) and you can sign in with the administrator account you just created.
