Music on hold

MOH classes for hold music and announcements — what a caller hears while waiting in a queue, parked, or on hold. Configured under PBX > Music on hold.

Create a class

Fill in the New MOH class form and click Create.

What each field means

FieldMeaning
NameHow this class is labelled wherever a ring group, queue or other feature picks a hold-music class.
Announcement (IVR voice)An optional IVR voice that periodically interrupts the music with a spoken announcement. none means continuous music with no interruption.
Random playbackYes shuffles the class's audio files; No plays them in order.
CommentA free-text note for your own reference.

A ring group or a queue each pick one of these classes on their own settings, for the callers waiting there — see Ring groups and Queues.

Check

Open PBX > Music on hold and confirm the new class's Name, Announcement and Random columns match what you set.
