The Reseller menu (operator view)
A dedicated RESELLER section sits near the bottom of the operator's own sidebar, below Monitoring. An admin sees all six items; an accountant sees them too if granted the manage_resellers right. A reseller signed in itself sees only two of the six — covered on the next page.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
Resellers Settings | Global defaults and permissions applied to every reseller at once — below. |
Common use providers | Shares one of the operator's own providers with Reseller PRO accounts, billed through an assigned tariff — below, wiring explained on Billing between operator and reseller. |
Permissions | The reseller permission groups — no‑access/read/write per area, assigned to individual reseller accounts. Covered in full on System users & permissions. |
Accountant Permissions | The same mechanism, for accountant accounts. Admin only. Also on System users & permissions. |
User Groups | Fine‑grained permission templates for end customers (simple_user_groups) — an admin manages the operator's own set here; a reseller gets the same item for its own set. See A reseller's own users, tariffs, providers and routing. |
Groups | Call Shop groups — a feature for physical call‑shop cubicles with their own per‑cubicle billing. Unrelated to reseller accounts themselves; leave alone unless you run call shops. |
Resellers Settings
One form, three cards, applied to every reseller account at once — nothing here is per‑reseller.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
Show Hangup Cause Codes for Resellers | Whether a reseller sees the numeric Q.850 hangup cause, not just the text status, on its own calls. |
Allow to use dahdi Devices / Allow to use virtual Devices | Which device types a reseller may register for its own customers. |
Resellers can add their own DIDs / Allow to assign DID to Trunk | Whether a reseller can import/manage its own DID numbers and wire a DID straight to a trunk. |
Allow Resellers to change Device PIN / ...to change Extensions for their User Devices | Whether a reseller can edit two normally admin‑level device fields for devices belonging to its own customers. |
Hide canreinvite option from Resellers | Hides one advanced SIP/media field on a reseller's own device forms. |
Disallow Resellers to copy Localization settings from Admin | Whether a reseller can start its own localization rules from a copy of the operator's, or must build them from scratch. |
Default DID provider | Which provider supplies DIDs for a reseller that has none of its own — see the callout on A reseller's own users, tariffs, providers and routing. |
Resellers Server | On change, devices/providers of resellers without their own server move to this server (as in the legacy system). |
Call statistics for resellers (days) | How many days of call statistics a reseller's own Dashboard/Statistics pages look back over. |
Common use providers
An admin provider flagged for shared use, assigned to a specific reseller together with a tariff to bill it by — the mechanism a reseller without providers of its own still uses to terminate calls. No assignment exists yet in this example:
The full pricing mechanics behind this screen — who can appear in each dropdown, and how it connects to a reseller's own margin — are on Billing between operator and reseller.
Assign all to all resellers is a bulk shortcut: every provider already flagged common‑use gets assigned to every Reseller PRO account in one action, each billed on the same tariff you pick.
Groups (Call Shop groups)
The last item, despite sitting in the same RESELLER section, is unrelated to reseller accounts: Call Shop groups are for physical call-shop cubicles with their own per-cubicle billing. Same shape as User Groups — a name, a description, and a list — but a completely different feature:
Check
Open Reseller > Resellers Settings and confirm the page loads with all three cards (Permissions, Localization, Assignments); open Common use providers and confirm the New assignment form offers Resellers, Provider and Tariff dropdowns.
